Last week when my mom came to visit we had the most wonderful time making jewelry. I was not aware of the simple joy of stringing beads onto a wire. I think part of the joy is in the beauty of the result, and then being able to wear your masterpiece, and have people notice how cool it is. Then you get to say, "i made it." And they are way impressed. That happened to me just today! What a fabulous new hobby! My mom came bearing gifts, and Allie has LOVED having some real jewelry. She wore it to church last week and everyone called her a princess. I took her picture just so Grandma could see how cute she looked and how well it matched her dress. I think I may have a daughter of Zion in the making!

New Post
I keep thinking that I should be updating my blog. And I keep not doing it. The thing is that there seem to be so many wonderful blogs that are well written and articulate and talk about all kinds of exciting things. My small life is, well, small. Over the past two weeks I have done many things. I have taken my kids to the park, the zoo, the discovery center, the pool, the lake, the movies (A LOT), and to play at monkey bizness. We have had swim lessons, and lots of play dates. Grandma and Tyler came to visit which was a blast. I am continually working on the overwhelming project of cleaning and organizing my house. I have finished two "hooter hiders" and a wall hanging for my little bun (thanks Sariah for a half finished project!), and made fabulous jewelry. And MANY other things that I can't quite remember. It seems like there is so much going on all the time that I never seem to accomplish things like laundry, but yet when I sit to write, I think that my life is so small that there may be nothing important enough to send out into the world.
That really seems like an impressive list when I look at it that way. I guess that is what my life is. It's not a few big things to be excited for, or by, but a lot of small things that make my small life wonderful. I have many wonderful things. My little baby Boy is constantly kicking and moving reminding me of the little miracle I get to experience. That is wonderful. Allie has been calling for Daddy when she wakes up in the night. She knows that he is her hero and will be the best one to comfort her, and that is wonderful. Spencer felt as excited as Christmas when he opened the stack of boxes that came in the mail for him today, full of school books. That was wonderful. Small is wonderful, I don't want to ever change that.
