Spring cleaning?
We are home and things are good. We have finally started to unpack, and put things away. IT really makes me want to clean up and clean out. I have this strange desire to go through all the closets and cupboards. I want to get rid of things that we don't use, and have a place to put away things that we do. I think it has something to do with the cold weather and being in the house more, and also feeling like we need to bundle up and almost hibernate through the winter. Is there anyone out in the great abyss that knows a good system for organization??

And to all a good night!
It's Christmas Eve and I am so happy. We are home in the Tri-Cities to visit with my parents, and we are all here. IT has been several years since we have all been home for Christmas, and it feels so good to be part of a family. My kids are as excited as can be, and I can't blame them. They are here with their adoring fans, and the Christmas tree is already loaded with presents, and Santa hasn't yet made his appearnce. I was worried that they would be a little dissappointed as we have decided that Santa onlt brings 3 presents each. Spencer thinks he is getting EVERYTHING. I have been wondering how it would play out, but the closer we get and as the antipicitation builds, I get less and less worried. I think everyone will have a great Christmas just being together, and add to that that a few carefully chosen gifts, and we really can't go wrong!! There is so much food and so much family. I am just so happy today.
Merry Christmas!!

Let it snow!
We had a good snow on Monday, and the kids were so excit4ed. Spencer ran to get dressed, warm, and out to the snow. Te made a snowman all by himself, but, as he said, "the head was too small, so I didn't make a face." Allie would NOT have her picture taken, and was not all that impressed once she noticed how cold it was. Bella, (our cat) was the funniest. She has never seen snow, and was fascinated by it. We watched her making footprints with one of her paws, and had a good laugh. After a minute she was skipoping around in it with the kids. It was a fun morning surprise!
Kids in the kitchen
I love to cook with my kids. It makes the hugest mess, and takes twice as long, but the memories are priceless. We made pizza this week, and they were so proud of themselves! I think they ate better too, not that I can't usually get them to eat pizza! Christmas always reminds me of warm memories in the kitchen with my mom, and makes me want to make some of those memories for my kids!

"Spencer did it to me!"
This is a common phrase at our house these days. IT is also the longest sentence that Allie can say. I guess she gets the most practice at it! This morning bright and early she can in and woke up Sam and I bawling, and saying, "Spencer did it to me!" That was all I could get out of her. I still have no idea what it was that he did, but she sure wanted me to know that it was him! I love to watch my kids and see their little (or BIG) personalities grow. We are almost to the point where Allie just says "Spencer did it!" before either of them did anything. He may be bigger, but she can make up for that!

Updating my look
I think that it so fun to update, and make my blog cute, but, today I hate it. I just can't find what I am looking for, and it is taking FOREVER. I think I will give up and get dressed. Does anyone know of a good website that has header photos??

Christmas is comming the goose is getting fat
I am so thrilled that it is finally December! It is the one thing that I really look forward to in the winter. Somehow I think it makes up for all the cold and dreary days. I am having so much fun getting ready for Christmas. I went shopping this weekend, and I don't think I bought a single thing that didn't require hours and hours of work. I think there is something to be said for personal hand-made gifts. I think that the last thing people need is more stuff. We all have too much stuff!! This year I wanted to let the people I care about know that by putting myself into the gifts I give. We'll see if I am dead or not by Christmas. Maybe next year everyone will just get a candy bar and a smile. :^)
Aside from the gifts to make, I bought fabric for 5 sets of PJs and I had to make new stockings. The ones I had, came out of the box this year very stiff, and smelling oddly of pine. I think the summer in the attic space was too much for the candle I bought last year to balance out the non smell of our fake tree. :^) I decided that I would just make a set of 7 and be done with it. That way, I'll have extras if we have any more kids, and hopefully we can keep these from getting destroyed. cross your fingers. :^)
